I work with Tripleseat at my other consulting gig. We are able to make notes for each menu item that is only displayed on the kitchen sheet (eg I want to be able to say that the meatball with harissa needs a skewer, a 2"x2" bamboo plate and to be placed on our black resin 10" x 10" serving tray) . We want our department to be streamlined, consistent and no guesswork since we will have many hands in the proverbial kitchen. This way there aren't any guesses especially if we aren't on site at the time of preparation. It has been extremely effective at my other location with Tripleseat.

Allie Furlong Luke Hutchison Hi! I see this one is under review, and this would change the game for how we work with our kitchen on the BEO! Descriptions with how to display things would be awesome, and I'll also add into this that the ability to show exact quantities of what portions are being prepared would be immensely helpful. For example, if I order avocado toast for 10 people, the kitchen needs to know that means 10 pieces of toast, cut into 1/3s, 5 avocados, etc (kinda like a "pull sheet") -- a full integration with square would help w this too :)

Emily Rubin: thanks for the feedback! If we do this, would you like this internal description to show up on the Staff BEO in place of the normal menu description? Or would you like to see both?

Anna Western both would be great! Or the ability to toggle on and off before printing it.

Reason being, is that I use the descriptions to specify the edits to items sometimes, or notate allergies. So in many cases it’s important for the client and the kitchen to both see it. It would need to copy over as not to duplicate work in many cases

I'd like the guests to see the menu descriptions on their proposal but it's unnecessary for my staff to see it. I'd like to toggle it off for my staff
