Inbox: Archive + Delete Messages

Came here to drop my vote for some way to organize the Inbox. Since moving from TripleSeat, I've found the Inbox to be the least-thoughtful, and somewhat confusing, part of Perfect Venue. There needs to be a way to archive, delete, or at least filter out messages related to lost or completed events. The way things are set up now regularly have me questioning whether or not I replied to an event, or almost hunting through to make sure I replied. It just does not present things clearly. The little, colored slivers indicating event status are hard to decipher with a quick glance, and the red dots seem to somehow blend in. I am not sure what other suggestions to make, but I think a start would be filters and a delete. Being able to simply click a button to see "Unread Only" and to archive messages that are no longer relevant (attached to closed, lost events) would make the product so much more usable.
This should NOT be a premium feature.

Hide lost events from inbox

Because I have the version of PV that doesn't use tasks, I use my inbox to see when the last correspondence was and do a follow up.
I'd like to be able to hide or dismiss message threads from lost events since they don't need follow up.

Hello! Request for feedback! Currently, we're exploring adding a Show/Hide Lost button, similar to the other toggles, so that you could hide lost events from the inbox. Many of you mention deleting or archiving messages, but these are really events, so it would be hiding the lost events from the list. I'm assuming that is the goal here, correct?

Anna Western That's a step in the right direction. However, we also have clients that make initial inquiries/deposits/reservations WELL in advance of the actual event date, and then we don't really communicate with them for months. It would be helpful if there were a way to move those threads to a separate "holding" inbox as well. Not essential, but would be a nice feature for keeping a tidy inbox of only current and most pressing communications.
Alternatively, if there was a filter option to display emails only for events in a specified time frame, that could work as well.

Anna Western It would be super helpful to be able to click multiple events at one time and delete them. I guess you could do a lost button as well. But an option to delete multiple events at once would be great. Thank you for working on this!
Anna Western
Richard McCord: thank you! So it sounds like you'd like a way to filter the inbox to view a smaller set of events based on their event date to more easily track them?
Anna Western
Michaela Miller: Would you want to delete/archive events that are not in the Lost status, and what would be the reason for that? Or alternatively, we could let you select multiple events with the checkboxes, and have a Move to Lost button so that they then are hidden from the inbox. What do you think of that?

Anna Western Yes I delete events often before marking them as lost even. Some clients inquire and do not meet our minimum requirements based on the first email so I would have no reason to ever have to refer back to that event. So deleting permanently is preferred. I don't like marking files as "lost" because they still pop up when I search within my main inbox. For example, if I'm working with two Michelles, but one of them we "lose", the lost Michelle will still pop up when I go to search active Michelles name. I just have no reason to refer back to an event that we didn't book. Some people might, so maybe making the "lost" a separate folder to search within could be helpful. Hopefully this makes sense! I just feel like its an unnecessary piling of events. Thank you!
Anna Western
Michaela Miller: thank you! So for you, having a way to bulk delete events from the inbox would be the preferred process in that case. Gotcha!

Anna Western being able to hide or delete emails from lost events would be really important because it is confusing to have to look through emails that are literally at this point irrelevant. But I want to make sure it is clear that this is in the "inbox" view that it's a real problem. We can already hide lost from the Calendar and the Home view, but in the inbox they are still in the mix and it makes it very cluttered.
Anna Western
Whitney Sheldon, the lost leads have a gray bar on the left side of the event row.

This is a very necessary option. Please prioritize it in the roadmap. An overflowing inbox is just hard to manage, especially with multiple venues.
