This is essential to most venues and can't emphasize enough how important this feature is to us. I would love to know the work around other businesses are using while waiting for this product feature to be built.

Andrew Tuttle: I think a common workaround is to set up the menu item like "Open bar for 5 hours" and give it a per-person price, or "Open bar for 50 people" and give it a per-hour price.
If we were to set it up with per-person, per-hour, would you want to have two quantity inputs (one for hours, and one for persons), or would you want it to automatically update the quantities based on the event duration multiplied by the group size?

Abby Howell Yes, two quantity inputs would be preferable. I'm using a similar workaround but this requires additional explanation to clients (“our system makes us do it this way”) and increases the chance of errors.

Yes please!

Hosted Open Bars are often charged per person / per hour and this would make menus accurate.
